ROLE TITLE: Volunteer Policy and Campaigns Assistant
REPORTING TO: Head of Policy and Campaigns
HOURS: Volunteers are asked to commit 2-4 hours per week, usually on a Wednesday. Normal business working hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Mondays to Fridays.
LOCATION: Remote working, with occasional office attendance in Glasgow or Ayr, and at other AAS event or conferences.
CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 3rd November 2026 at midnight.
Action Against Stalking (AAS) is seeking to recruit Volunteer Policy and Campaign Assistants to support our work to raise awareness of stalking, advocate for victims’ rights, and influence policy and legal developments. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals committed to our aims and values, with an interest in policy, law reform, research, and campaigns.
The role would be particularly suited to final year undergraduate students, recent graduates and postgraduate students in relevant disciplines, such as law, public policy, social policy, human rights, criminology, sociology or politics.
Volunteers are asked to commit 2-4 hours per week, usually on a Wednesday, though some flexibility may be possible. You will also be asked to take part in a training day, which will cover the nature and dynamics of stalking, relevant policy and legal issues, current and upcoming projects, as well skills required for the role.
The posts will mostly be carried out remotely, with occasional attendance in the office, at events or conferences.
This is an exciting time to join the team at AAS, as we are expanding our policy, research and campaigning work. We are regularly responding to relevant consultations, carrying out legal and social research projects, and working with policy makers to advance our aims and goals.
